It was a great birth as far as births go, with no complications. Amelia is doing really well and so I am considering! Somehow I got through it all without drugs, too.
Unfortunately DH did not make it in time. He was able to talk to us via skype during and then after the birth. He will be here at lunch time tomorrow, so he will have 2 whole weeks with his little girl and what a great birthday present.
Photos to come, sorry, haven't managed any decent ones yet.
congratulations to your babygirl. I wish you a nice first time <3

Congratulations! Great that you could have her at home with the support of your family. I'm sure you husband won't be able to sleep on the plane on the way to visit you both. Enjoy all the attention both you and Amelia will receive (and of course deserve!) over the next few weeks.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and welcome to this strange world Amelia.
Congratulations and おめでとう!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Amelia!
Amazing that your husband was able to be there via Skype. I was in the birthing room each time my wife delivered and nearly passed out every time. Skype definitely would have been the way for me to go.
Pease and joy be with you all.
Hi again :) Well done you and can't wait to see the pics xxxx P
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteShame your husband couldn't be there in person (babies just won't go along with plans will they!) but he'll get an extra day to cuddle instead.
Enjoy your time together.
Congratulations to you and your husband. May the next two weeks be full of lots of cuddles
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I didn't get a birth that easy until my third (she was born 5/13). I'm so glad everything went well for you and your husband will be with you soon. I love the name! Will she have kanji?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your babymoon!
Congratulations!! (Welcome to the world, Amelia Sophie!)
ReplyDeleteBeen following your blog since last year (when my then-fiance decided to accept a scholarship for post-graduate studies in Japan) and I've gotten a lot of information about life in Japan from your blog posts. Also been following your pregnancy progress too.
Happy for you and your family and the beautiful new addition!! What a wonderful blessing! Looking forward to the coming blog entries and mommy stories. :)
Congratulations!! Shame your husband wasn't there, but at least video-chatting your way through the birth will be an awesome story for Amelia someday.
